Gap Year 2015/2016

Hello All! 

Leah and Sash here! 

This is our official blog for our upcoming gap year! We are so, so excited to share with you our experiences through Southeast Asia (based in Cambodia) and Europe. 
Here are our projected plans so far, though they are still in the making!! 

 Sept 8: BLAST OFF! On our way to Siem Reap, Cambodia. 

Sept 8-January 28: Volunteer at Journeys Within Our Community http://www.journeyswithinourcommunity.org while taking side trips around Southeast Asia and a longer break at the Elephant Nature Park in Thailand (In October). 

January 28- Feb: Port Bound! Friends– get ready to blow up those air mattresses on your dorm room floors :) 

March: Amsterdam and Germany (and wherever our hearts/wallets take us) 

April: HOPEFULLY (not confirmed yet) working on a farm and bed and breakfast in Czech Republic. Check out the description: http://www.workaway.info/7941336554a3-en.html 

May-Mid June: WWOOF in Greece!! Again, not fully nailed down yet, but if all goes well, we will be here!! http://www.dimitrisfarm.info 

Mid June-July: IF OUR SAVINGS AREN’T COMPLETELY DRAINED, we would LOVE to walk the Camino de Santiago! But we will see on that one… 

August: Port Bound yet again! Then off to Cali (UC Davis) and UMass Amherst for orientation and college! 

Please check out our GoFundMe and donate if you can! We have set a $1,000 goal to raise for Journeys Within Our Community as a donation from Newburyport. This money does not go toward our travel expenses, but goes directly to the nonprofit.
